The Mississipi State Department of Health tests private wells for bacteriological contamination only. Testing for mineral content, chemicals or other contaminants should be done through a private laboratory.
This is a sampling service for private water wells only. For homes connected to public water systems, contact your water supply operator, or MSDH's Bureau of Public Water Supply if you have concerns about your water quality.
