Certification, Renewal and Training
Our CNA registry is managed by Headmaster/TMU. To use the TMU online system for certification and renewal, first create an account by calling 800-393-8664.
To become a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) you will need to enroll in a Mississippi state-approved nurse aide training program (NATP). Upon completion of the program, you are required to take the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP) exam.

Training Courses
Reciprocity
Reciprocity allows a certified nurse aide from another state to qualify for certification in the state of Mississippi. An individual is only eligible for reciprocity if he or she has been entered on a nurse aide registry in a state other than Mississippi in accordance with the training and competency evaluation requirements of OBRA '87, as amended, and if the individual is currently listed on that state's nurse aide registry as active and in good standing.
Petition for Removal of Finding of Neglect
A nurse aide may petition for the removal of a finding of neglect from the state Nurse Aide Registry at least one year after the date of the finding. Sign in to your TMU account and use the online form below.

Become An Evaluator/Proctor
COVID-19 has negatively impacted the number of direct care workers, specifically certified nurse aides (CNA), across the state of Mississippi. MSDH's Department of Health Services is working closely with HDMaster our CNA testing provider, to increase opportunities for Mississippi nurse aide candidates to become certified.
Registered Nurses are key to the CNA certification process, functioning as Evaluators for the NNAAP Skills exam. We are asking you to consider becoming an invaluable asset to building your nursing community through the administration of certification testing for nurse aides in Mississippi with the opportunity to earn extra income. Evaluators are needed in most areas.
