Even if your rapid (antigen) test for COVID-19 is negative, there are important steps to take after testing.
If Your Rapid Result is Positive
Isolate at home for at least 5 days, and follow our guidance below.
If Your Rapid Result is Negative
If You Have Symptoms of COVID-19
Isolate at home. Wear a high-quality mask when you are around others, even at home. Continue to isolate for 10 full days after you were exposed, or 10 days after your symptoms began.
If you are waiting for PCR testing results, you may end your isolation if your PCR test is also negative.
If You Do Not Have Symptoms of COVID-19
If you had close contact with someone who has COVID-19, monitor for symptoms and wear a mask around others for 10 days since your exposure.
If you have had no close contact with someone who has COVID-19, and have no symptoms, you should still wear a high-quality mask when you are around others for 10 full days after you were exposed. Watch for symptoms of COVID-19. If you develop symptoms, isolate a home immediately, and get tested.
