We help expecting mothers and parents of young children build a healthier and more successful future for their children and themselves, starting at home.
The Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program (MIECHV) consists of health, social service, and child development professionals who support families in 16 Mississippi counties, focusing on pregnant women and children from birth to five years old. These professionals use the evidence-based Parent As Teachers (PAT) model that engages parents and caregivers to promote the optimal early development, learning and health of children.
For you and your child. Home visits from early childhood specialists work for you, where you are, to understand you and your family. We educate and inform you on a variety of topics, including breastfeeding, safe sleep for babies, and language development.
Parents take the lead. Parents are the first and best teachers of children. We help improve your knowledge and skills so you can make a difference in your child's health and well-being for years to come.
Connecting to community: Your well-being matters to your child. We help connect you with important resources like the WIC nutrition program, Medicaid and job opportunities, along with educational support.

The Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program is free for pregnant women or for families with children up to 5 years old living in the following counties:
