The Mississippi Health Alert Network (MS-HAN) is the State of Mississippi's electronic notification system that serves as a method of rapid communication to health care professionals and hospitals in the state, providing information about urgent public health incidents that could impact the health and safety of Mississippians.
Who can participate in the MS-HAN?
MS-HAN participants may be health professional or key personnel in health-related organizations. We currently reach:
- hospitals
- health care providers
- public health professionals
- long-term care facilities
- emergency management organizations
How do I sign up to receive MS-HAN notices?
Make a registration request by filling out our online registration form. Please be prepared to provide the following information:
- Name
- Phone
- E-mail address
- Fax
- Area of Occupation
- Specialty
Once you are registered, you will begin receiving alerts and advisories. Remember to set your e-mail system to accept messages from our e-mail broadcast service, Juvare.
Receiving MS-HAN notices
Alerts and advisories are sent based on the type of notice and your role or area of specialty, your organization, and your location. When you register, please indicate how you would like to receive the HAN notices:
- E-mail only
- Fax only
- Both e-mail and fax
- Text message
