
Who Is Eligible for WIC
WIC benefits are available for women who:
Live in Mississippi
Are pregnant, or have children 5 years old or younger
Meet WIC income guidelines, or currently receive Medicaid, SNAP/EBT, or TANF
How to Apply
Apply Online
You can apply online now from your phone or computer.
Please have all your documents ready.
When you apply online, you can upload documents or images for proof of identity, residence and income. Please take time to gather these documents before starting the application. What you need →
Applications take 15-20 minutes to complete. Partially completed applications cannot be saved. If you stop to gather documents, you may have to start a new application.
Apply in Person
You can apply for WIC at your local county health department or WIC clinic. Call our scheduling center to make an appointment.
What You Need to Apply
Whether you apply online or in person, you must have certain documents: identification, proof of residence, and proof of income. Here are some examples:
Identification
- Valid driver's license
- Valid U.S. passport
- Social security card
- Current shot/immunization record
- Military ID
- Newborn crib card
Proof of Residence
- Pieces of mail that includes your current adress (utility bill, bank statement)
- Valid driver's license with your current address
- Mortgage or rent agreement
Proof of Income
- Current pay stubs for one month's pay that is less than 60 days old.
- Signed statement from an employer indicating gross income earnings for a specific pay period.
- Current W-2 forms
- Income tax return for the most current year

Most WIC clinics are located in our county health departments. You can find a list of our locations online.
