JACKSON, Miss. — The Mississippi State Department of Health invites all state employees to participate in the inaugural State Employee Wellness Expo on Thursday, May 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Two Mississippi Museums in Jackson.
This informative day of activities will feature free health screenings, cooking and fitness demonstrations, stress management exercises, CPR certification training and chair massages.
“We believe that participating in the State Employee Wellness Expo will not only benefit individual employees, but also contribute to a healthier and more vibrant workforce across the state,” said Dr. Dan Edney, MSDH Executive Director and State Health Officer.
At noon, Dr. Justin Turner, MSDH Chief Medical Officer, will deliver a keynote on the importance of prioritizing health and wellness.
