Many Mississippi State Department of Health locations in south and central parts of the state will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday due to winter weather conditions.
All MSDH locations in coastal and south Mississippi will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, January 21-22. These include county health departments and administrative offices in Adams, Amite, Covington, Forrest, Franklin, George, Greene, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Jefferson, Jefferson Davis, Jones, Lamar, Lawrence, Lincoln, Marion, Pearl River, Perry, Pike, Stone, Walthall, Wayne and Wilkinson counties.
In central Mississippi, all locations in Claiborne, Clarke, Copiah, Hinds, Jasper, Lauderdale, Newton, Rankin, Scott, Simpson, Smith and Warren counties will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, January 21-22. Attala and Madison counties and the MSDH Central Office in Jackson are scheduled to be closed on Tuesday, January 21 only.
Opening hours may change unexpectedly for locations affected by weather. Call ahead if you plan to visit a county health department in south or central Mississippi on Tuesday or Wednesday.
