The Bureau of EMS (BEMS) regulates non-emergency medical transport in Mississippi and issues permits to entities or persons seeking to operate non-emergency medical transport service.
Effective July 1, 2023, as per statute, non-emergency medical transport providers must obtain a permit prior to engaging in non-emergency medical transportation service.

Fees and Application
Pursuant to EMS Rules and Regulations, specifically Rule 1.20.8, the Board of Health has established the fee to be paid for obtaining a NEMT/NET vehicle permit.
