Jackson, Miss. — The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) and Voice of Calvary Ministries (VOCM) are partnering for the “Living Better, Aging Well Collaborative Community Expo” this Saturday in Jackson.
The Expo will take place September 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Reed’s Park located at 785 Claiborne Ave.
The event isn’t a typical health fair. The Expo is an opportunity for Mississippians to learn about the services available in their communities, many of them free, including health care, public health, employment, education, public safety, legal services, LGBTQ+ programs, immigrant services and even financial literacy.
Participants can schedule health appointments, register for services and programs, and receive free health screenings in a fun outdoor setting complete with food trucks, entertainment and activities for children.
This Expo is designed to improve all aspects of life, from pre-natal care to end of life and all stages in between.
