Many Mississippi State Department of Health locations in the south and coastal parts of the state will be closed or have delayed openings Thursday due to winter weather conditions.
Opening at 10:00 a.m.: County health departments and administrative offices in the following counties will open at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 23:

- Covington
- Forrest
- Franklin
- George
- Greene
- Jefferson
- Jefferson Davis
- Jones
- Lamar
- Lawrence
- Lincoln
- Marion
- Perry
- Pike
- Walthall
- Wayne
- Wilkinson
Closed Thursday: The following county health departments will be closed the entire day on Thursday, January 23:
- Hancock
- Harrison
- Jackson
- Pearl River
- Stone
