Senior Deputy
Background
Kris Adcock previously served as director of MSDH's Medical Cannabis Program and the Office Against Interpersonal Violence before becoming Assistant Senior Deputy in 2022. Prior to joining MSDH in 2020, Ms. Adcock served as the Deputy Commissioner for Administration for the Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services. She has over twenty years of experience in behavioral health and child welfare settings at various levels of administration in state government systems. In addition to her work at MDCPS, she spent approximately eighteen years working in the state's mental health system in various executive level positions.
Ms. Adcock is a Certified Public Manager and graduate of the State Executive Development Institute sponsored by the John C. Stennis Institute of Government. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Educational Psychology from Mississippi State University and a Master of Social Work degree from Jackson State University.
