Ambulance Licensing

The Office of Emergency Medical Services and Acute Care Systems (OEMSACS) licenses ambulance services by location and issues permits for each vehicle operated at the location licensed. This includes any vehicle engaged in the business of transporting patients on roadways or airways within the boundaries of Mississippi.

Fees

Mississippi EMS fees are established to maintain or increase funding for the licensing, certifying, investigating, monitoring and conducting other required activities to ensure public health and safety for Mississippians needing emergency medical services. The fees calculated do not exceed the estimated cost to the Agency for performing licensing, certification and other regulatory duties.

Ambulance Service Licensing $560.00 per county
Ambulance Permit $280.00 per vehicle
Ambulance re-inspection $280.00 per vehicle (if a unit fails initial inspection)
