This affects 50 customers due to a downed fire hydrant causing a break in the main line. The streets affected are streets north of MS-184 all in Silver Creek, MS (Lawrence County).


Town Of Silver Creek has issued a Boil-Water Alert for customers who receive their drinking water from their water supply located in Lawrence County.

This is a precautionary notice. Residents will be notified immediately when the advisory is lifted.

When a distribution system loses pressure, contaminants can siphon back into the water. Public health officials consider any system that loses pressure contaminated until tests prove otherwise. Health officials strongly recommend that all water be boiled vigorously for one minute before it is consumed.
