Background

Before joining MSDH, Faucett held positions as the Chief Medical Officer and Director of Health Services at the Mississippi Department of Corrections, Chief of Ophthalmology at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, and as an attending physician in the Department of Ophthalmology for oculoplastic surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He also has extensive clinical experience , with an emphasis on addiction treatment.

Dr. Faucett received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Medicine.
