WIC Vendors

WIC participants can visit a WIC-authorized vendor (grocery store or pharmacy) of their choice, shop for WIC-approved supplemental foods, and complete the transaction at the cash register using an eWIC card.

Reauthorization Training

Reauthorization Training is required for all returning WIC vendors.

Returning vendors must complete Reauthorization Training as part of the 2026–2029 vendor reauthorization process. The training provides important information about Mississippi WIC Program requirements, vendor responsibilities, and procedures for accepting eWIC.

What happens next?

Submitted reauthorization applications are being reviewed and processed by the Vendor Management Unit. When your application reaches completion status, you will receive an email with instructions for completing the required Reauthorization Training.

Completion of Reauthorization Training is required for a returning vendor to be reauthorized for continued participation in the Mississippi WIC Program.

Important: Reauthorization Training and Annual Training are separate training requirements. Completion of Annual Training does not satisfy the Reauthorization Training requirement. Returning vendors must complete Reauthorization Training as part of the 2026–2029 reauthorization process, even if Annual Training has already been completed.

Vendors should submit verification of training to vmu@msdh.ms.gov. by the assigned deadline for reauthorization.
