Measles

Measles is a highly contagious respiratory disease caused by a virus. Measles causes fever, runny nose, cough and body rash. About one out of 20 children with measles go on to develop pneumonia. Measles can be prevented by the combination MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) vaccine.
