Before joining MSDH in 2014, Heather Wagner served as the Deputy Chief of the Bureau of Victim Assistance with the state Attorney General's office, where she also was the Director of the Domestic Violence Division since 2006. An active voice for victims of domestic violence, she also provides continuing education for local law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, judges and private practice attorneys on issues related the judicial system and its response to the victims of domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault and human trafficking.
Ms. Wagner earned her Bachelor's degree from Millsaps College in 1989, and her JD from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1992.
