Wayne Vaughn

Background
Wayne Vaughn has served in many emergency response roles since 1985, including positions in the Starkville and Ross Barnett Reservoir Fire Departments. He was instrumental in developing the Choctaw Fire Department for the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians including development of their 911 call center and central dispatch.
Wayne served as the Deputy Director of the Office of Emergency Planning and Response for three years before becoming Director in 2015, and has worked in leadership roles for a number of our agency responses, including 2014's deadly tornadoes in Louisville and Marion County.
