This exercise will bring together water and wastewater utilities, county emergency managers, and state agencies to strengthen partnerships before, during, and after severe weather events. Participants will discuss effective coordination at both the local and state level, as well as the role of mutual aid programs such as the Mississippi Rural Water Association’s Rural Water Emergency Assistance Cooperative (RWEAC). Overall, this half day event will provide a collaborative environment to examine real-world challenges, share best practices, and build stronger networks for emergency preparedness and response through a combination of targeted presentations and interactive group discussions. |
