Many Mississippi State Department of Health locations in south and central parts of the state are closed today and Wednesday due to winter weather conditions.
South and Coastal locations: All MSDH locations in coastal and south Mississippi are closed Tuesday and will remain closed Wednesday, January 22 unless weather conditions change. These include county health departments and administrative offices in Adams, Amite, Covington, Forrest, Franklin, George, Greene, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Jefferson, Jefferson Davis, Jones, Lamar, Lawrence, Lincoln, Marion, Pearl River, Perry, Pike, Stone, Walthall, Wayne and Wilkinson counties.
Central Mississippi: MSDH Locations in Attala, Claiborne, Clarke, Copiah, Hinds, Jasper, Lauderdale, Madison, Newton, Rankin, Scott, Simpson, Smith and Warren counties will be closed Tuesday, but are scheduled to re-open Wednesday, January 22.
MSDH Central Office in Jackson: The Central Office and other administrative offices in the Jackson area are closed Tuesday, but will re-open Wednesday, January 22.
Opening hours may change as weather conditions develop. Call ahead if you plan to visit a county health department in south or central Mississippi on Tuesday or Wednesday.
