Caller states that she and her mother dined at the facility on the Friday before last (1-6-2012). They both had footlong cold cut combos and both developed heaches, vomiting, and diarrhea within 30 mins of eating. The complaintant says her and her mother ate at the facility around 5:30/6pm and had had nothing else to eat all day. The complaintant also stated that her friend who is an "ex" employee of the facility, told her that management changes the dates on the deli meats and uses them even if they are out dated.

InvestigationHistory
1-18-2012: Facility observations...All meats for sandwiches are received pre-packaged and sealed. Each package also has a printed "use by" date on it. Once the meat is taken out of its orginal box, a date is handwritten on each sealed package of meat to represent the day it was received. The observed meats in the WIC have a received date of 1-13-2012 and a use by date of 2-18-2012. The observed meats in the WIC had a cold holding temp. of 36 degrees F. The PIC states that the facility operates off a limited quantity of product and the delivery truck comes only once a week. The observed product will be almost gone by the time the truck comes and at the time of inspection the WIC had a very small amount of product in it. The facility has a very detailed procedure (corporate policy) for discarding out dated meats and other products, which cannot be used for sell by no means.
