Myself and 5 coworkers went there today for lunch. While eating chips and salsa, I found a dead fly in my salsa. I notified the waiter and his response was "Sorry. It happens" and shrugged his shoulders. We weren't trying for free food or anything, we just expected a more caring response. So we asked to speak to the manager. The manager came over and we told him about it. His response was that they spray for bugs and asked us if we wanted more salsa, which we promptly replied with a resounding NO. A couple of minutes after that, as our food is coming out of the kitchen, we hear the sound of something being sprayed. The spraying went on for a couple of minutes, then we start smelling the familiar smell of bug spray. They were actually spraying bug spray in the kitchen at the same time that they were cooking food for the lunch crowd. This place needs a health inspection soon and probably should be shut down if that is how they are going to operate their restaurant.

InvestigationHistory
Went to facility and spoke to manager. He said that he did not spray the kitchen. He only sprayed the garbage cans in the kitchen area. I explained that he could not spray insecticide in the kitchen when they were preparing food or open for business, and he should roll the garbage cans out the back door if he wanted to spray them. We also discussed keeping the salsa covered between service and the fact that the bottles the salsa is served in must be stored upside down or covered as well.
